John Redden was somewhat chuffed when Allan Rogers ( THE GARDEN GNOME) bought him three dim sims after Saturday’s bowls. He soon learned, however. That there is no such thing as a free lunch , or dim sim. The gnome, in good time, asked John to drive him home When Stan Copley heard of this episode he was really dark. He had been driving the gnome home after bowls for weeks and had never been offered a solitary dimmy.
